While I was hitting publish on the blog I wrote today about getting started with FPV quadcopters, I figured it might be a good idea to see if there were any fun quadcopter deals going on today. I found one.

Banggood is having a sale that includes the Eachine E010 drone with a 32% discount. If you order from their warehouse in China, the shipping is free, and it is $14.99 with three batteries, a charger, and remote control. You can get it quicker from the US warehouse, but you’ll be paying an extra $4.00. It may be worth it, because shipping from China is slow!

Be sure to choose the Mode 2 (Left Hand Throttle) model. That’s the control scheme most FPV miniquad pilots use.

I have flown the Eachine E010. You get what you pay for. It isn’t in the same league as the EMAX Tiny Hawk, and it doesn’t have an FPV camera. It won’t fly as well.

That said, if you’ve never flown a quadcopter, I bet you’ll have a lot of fun with the Eachine E010. I learned to fly line of site on a similar toy quadcopter, and I had a blast!
