I don’t usually post Humble Bundles. They’re usually good deals, but my view of most bundles is probably skewed by the fact that I have nearly 1,800 games in my Steam library. When a new Humble Bundle comes out, I usually already own most of the games. Being a Humble Choice subscriber certainly doesn’t help me with that problem, either!

When I saw the 2K’s Game Together bundle show up in my inbox this morning, though, it piqued my interest. It includes Spec Ops: The Line in the $1 tier. I remember enjoying playing through Spec Ops with Brian. It doesn’t have a ton of replay value, but for $1, it’d be a great way to kill a few evenings while having fun with a friend.

The beat the average deal is currently priced at around $10, and it includes BioShock: The Collection. This may sound blasphemous, but I’ve only played Bioshock Infinite. It is in this collection, it is an awesome game, fun to play with friends, and it is worth $10 on its own.

The $20 tier is where it is at!

Damn near every bit of Borderlands content prior to Borderlands 3 is in the $20 tier. Borderlands, Borderlands 2, and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel with a whole mess of DLC included.

Brian and I are currently playing through Borderlands 3. It is a fantastic game, but I’m not convinced it is nearly as good as Borderlands 2. If there’s any game you need to play online with your friends, it is Borderlands 2. If you enjoy it, and you wear the game out, you can always try the original Borderlands or the much less awesome Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel.

My opinion here may be biased. Steam says I have played 795 hours of Borderlands 2, 279 hours of Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, and 91 hours of the original Borderlands.

Don’t forget X-COM

I was a huge fan of the original X-COM: UFO Defense for DOS when it came out back in 1994. I own all the modern X-COM games, but I haven’t done a good job playing them.

I’m not sure just how complete the XCOM: Enemy Unknown Complete Edition is. It looks like you get the full games and DLC for XCOM: Enemy Unknown and the sequel XCOM: Enemy Within.

Why am I writing about this?

I’m pretty sure this bundle isn’t enabled for Humble partners, so I won’t even get a minuscule percentage of the sale. Why am I posting this?!

I’m a huge Borderlands fan. This is a good deal, and more of you folks should be playing Borderlands. That’s all there is to it!

NOTE: I’m including my partner code in the URL anyway, but I’m pretty sure it won’t do anything.
